a dark moon rises

A dark moon rises,
full in its facelessness.

This emptiness invites
me to see more clearly
all the places I have been holding
myself apart, unyielding.

Come home to your
round emptiness,
and be whole, it beckons.

The circle complete, nothing inside,
and the darkness holds me.

Counterpart to: a bright moon rises
